About the Job
Senior Care Plus is inviting applications for the role of Healthcare Assistant.
The role will assist in delivering a high standard of person-centered care to our Clients (in the community), promoting their independence, affording them choice, and ensuring their dignity is maintained at all times.
Duties include:
- Assisting clients with direct care and all aspects of daily living.
- Getting to know the clients' interests and needs, and contributing to maintaining a safe environment.
- Assisting with Activities of daily living
- Showering/bathing
- Personal care
- Dressing clients for the day/night
- preparing light meals
- Companionship
The role requires good communication skills and the ability to work well independently, or as part of a team, with a pleasant, respectful manner, and a desire to enhance the lives of our Clients ( in their own homes) and maintain a positive environment
Applicants must have commenced or be enrolled in a Minimum of two QQI Level 5 modules:
- Care Skills
- Care of the Older Persons.
- All applicants must be enrolled in or working towards completing the full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support course, or must hold an equivalent accepted healthcare qualification.
- Comprehensive induction training and continued support and mentoring will be provided.
- All applicants must have a Valid Clean driving license( Irish) and own a car.
- Job Type: Full Time & Part Time.
- Salary: €16 - €18.00 per hour
- Plus subsidized travel expenses paid for each shift.
